This is collection of Kingo Melvin Fujii's (1928 - 2012) papers, books that he illustrated, scrapbook (Copy) and original art work in both 3-D and 2-D. Kingo attended the Honolulu Academy of Arts School, The Chicago Art Institute, The University of Hawaii and Instituto Allende, Mexico. Kingo was also a World War II Army veteran.;He worked in a variety of media such as sol, watercolor, lithography, Jewelry and sculpture. As a fine artist he addresses himself through surrealism, semi-impressionism and traditional or neo-orientalism. As a scientific illustrator his interests and applications are in many fields - zoological, botanical, archeological, etc. He is also an illustrator of children's books. He has illustrated for Encyclopedia Britannica, Harper and Row, Highlander Press, Reverie Publishing, and other textbook publishers.
