From the Collection:

The Jerry Jiro Katayama Photograph Collection consists of photographs taken of his parents, Frank Ryotaro and Hisa Sato Katayama, prior to their immigration to the United States and when they first settled into life on the West Coast (ca. 1910s-1930s). Early photographs of Jerry and his siblings are present as well. The majority of the collection consists photos taken by Jerry during his military experience (1943-1947) and photos of his friends and family. Also included are photos related to bowling.

Mostly black and white photos of Jerry’s sister, Michiko “Michi” Aoki, and her children; photos mostly likely taken in Washington state as one school photo is labeled “Sumner School 1957”
