The Shigenobu Ozima papers consist of photographs, letters, mementoes, and newspaper and magazine articles (ca. 1943-1945). Ozima sent a trunk of these items to a relative in Omaha, Nebraska in 1945. The trunk was returned to the immediate family approximately 64 years later.

Includes “Guest of Rockefeller Center Guided Tour” tag, a “Map of the city of New York for Service Men,” brochures on “Victory through Christ,” “From Military Service to Civil Service,” “Service Awards of the United States Armed Forces,” and “The Beautiful Caverns of Luray, Virginia,” and booklets about “Nearest to Your Heart” from Rohwer, Arkansas which contained stories about Japanese Americans, “United States Armed Forces Institute Information Bulletin” and “Welcome Home Minnesota Yanks.”
