Biographical / Historical

Fujio Sato moved from Japan to Chicago in 1986 to obtain her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois. Upon completion of her master’s degree, she worked for the Japanese American Service Committee for a couple of years. Sato has since become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and moved to Hawaii. She currently works as a Children’s Bereavement Counselor at a hospice.
