Tokiwo Uyeda Papers
Scope and Contents
The Tokiwo Uyeda papers consist of correspondence, 1944-1964, (mostly incoming) between Uyeda and his family, who were interned at Minidoka Relocation Center until 1945, and thereafter resettled in Seattle. Also included in the collection are a “Report to Work form,” May 19, 1942, a war ration book, US War Relocation Authority Citizen’s Indefinite Leave identification card, May 31, 1943, and “Notice of Classification” cards. Biographical / Historical
Little is known about the life of Tokiwo Uyeda, other than he was interned at the Minidoka Relocation Center from spring 1942 until May 31, 1943, when he left the camp and resettled in Chicago.
