Gordon M. Kaihatsu collection
This is a collection of materials from Gordon M Kaihatsu. There are documents, programs, memory books, a T-shirt and other material from 1982 - 2012 pertaining to Heart Mountain Reunions, High School Reunion, Nikkei WWII Veterans and Redress Payment. The T-shirt from Minidoka, Idaho is located in Box 02 of 02.
Grace Torii collection
Collection contains three, hand-carved and painted bird pins that were crafted in Poston Relocation Center. The collection also contains a handcrafted and stained wooden bow and heart pin, an agate heart pendant and a silver ring with an opaque, grey stone.
Hanna Torimaru collection
Collection consists of two items. One is a panoramic photograph of the Chicago Japanese American Council Testimonial Banquet, May 30, 1946. The other is a DVD of an undated oral history interview of George and Hanna Torimaru recorded by their grand daughter. The interview was produced by Mariko Charvat.
Harano Family papers
The Harano Family Papers contain tickets and programs related to dances, benefits and events held in Chicago and sponsored by Japanese American organizations (ca. 1958-1965). The collection also contains items such as material related to the Kenwood Ellis Community Center (1949, 1956, 1960), a group photograph of scholarship dinner (1961), clippings related to Japanese American beauty queens and publications.
Hichiro Yamagata Collection
This is a collection of materials relating to War Relocation. There are materials written and studies about this subject. Items included papers, maps, photographs and newspaper articles looking back. Note worthy item are a Tule Lake "Master Plot Plan," from the US Department of Interior War Recollection Center.
Hikido Family artifact collection
Collection contains handcrafted wooden items - such as picture frames, a sewing box and a driftwood sculpture - that were made during the Hikido family's internment at Topaz Relocation Center. Also included are playing cards, a game of Go,a shakuhachi and crocheted doily.
