Grace Torii collection

Collection contains three, hand-carved and painted bird pins that were crafted in Poston Relocation Center. The collection also contains a handcrafted and stained wooden bow and heart pin, an agate heart pendant and a silver ring with an opaque, grey stone.

Hanna Torimaru collection

Collection consists of two items. One is a panoramic photograph of the Chicago Japanese American Council Testimonial Banquet, May 30, 1946. The other is a DVD of an undated oral history interview of George and Hanna Torimaru recorded by their grand daughter. The interview was produced by Mariko Charvat.

Harano Family papers

The Harano Family Papers contain tickets and programs related to dances, benefits and events held in Chicago and sponsored by Japanese American organizations (ca. 1958-1965). The collection also contains items such as material related to the Kenwood Ellis Community Center (1949, 1956, 1960), a group photograph of scholarship dinner (1961), clippings related to Japanese American beauty queens and publications.

Hikido Family artifact collection
